We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to take a
senior position building out and operating a deployed infrastructure
for an exciting new online service.

Description:

Brightcove is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer experienced
in designing, building, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting
multi-tier Windows server environments. Primary responsibilities
will include installation, maintenance and support of a production
web application service. Strong knowledge of all aspects of web
application service environments is required; specifically .NET
Server, MSSQL, Windows ADS, and Active Directory. Additionally, the
right candidate will have a general knowledge of systems engineering
best practices, some background with Linux, and some networking
experience. The position requires a responsible, team oriented,
well-organized individual with strong communications skills and the
ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while adapting quickly
to rapidly changing priorities.

Requirements:

• 8+ years Windows systems administration in complex multi tier
networks

• 4+ Windows application server (.NET) management experience

• 4+ years working in environments with Oracle / MSSQL

• 4+ years enterprise storage experience (Netapp/EMC)

• 6+ years in relevant 24×7 highly available, on-call environments

• Internet applications and protocols HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, & SSL

• Relevant scripting/tools/automation experience

• TCP/IP networking experience

• Ability to work in heterogeneous environments including Linux and
Windows servers.

• Proven analytical / problem solving ability

• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly

• Able to work and contribute to a team environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Required to be flexible, detail oriented and organized with the
ability to multitask and work independently

Highly Desirable:

• Experience working with Windows Automated Deployment Services
(ADS)

• Experience with Nagios

• Experience with Microsoft DRM (Windows Media Services/ Rights
Management Services)

• Clustering/Load balancing/High Availability experience

• Streaming technologies, particularly Macromedia FCS / FMS

• RDBMS experience (Oracle/MSSQL)
