Cory Bergman February 6th, 2007
Hackers launched a denial-of-service attack on root DNS servers in one of the biggest onslaughts on the internet since 2002. “We would call it a brownout instead of a blackout. It was significant, but it did not take anything down,” said a representative with internet service provider Neustar. The attack begin early in the morning on Tuesday and continued throughout much of the day. The source has not been identified.
