Senior IT Digital Media Engineer, CBN

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), a global leader in
Christian programming and humanitarian relief, is seeking a senior
level digital media Engineer to develop technical IT/Network/AV
solutions and conceptual engineering design specifications that meet
CBN’s Digital Media initiatives. This position will be responsible
for generating budgets, time-lines, equipment lists, floor plans, rack
and console elevations; as well as, create test plans and oversee the
testing and implementation process.

Essential Requirements for Successful Performance:

• Expertise in digital and analog broadcast hardware and software
systems

• Proficient in Mac OSX, Linux variants, Windows XP Pro, and
Windows Server 2003

• Internet development and television broadcast experience
desired, NTSC, PAL, and HD broadcast formats.

• Understanding of FTP services and administration, including
client side FTP utilities

• Experience with Digital Asset Management solutions, including
on-line, near-line, and off-line storage solutions a plus.

• Experience with broadcast automation, including video servers,
routers, and broadcast format

• Knowledgeable in all media formats, i.e. MPEG-2, MPEG-1, H.264,
VC1, DV, and HDV

• Knowledge of and experience with television signal measurement
equipment for Phase Alternating Line (PAL) and National Television
Standards Committee (NTSC) television standards, preferably serial
digital video (SMPTE 259M)

• Knowledgeable in various methods of digital video compression
and delivery methods

• Excellent communications and organizational skills are
necessary, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or
as a member of a team, multitask, high energy with excellent project
management skills and a positive can-do-attitude.

Desired Certifications: CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, MCSE
