Brightcove is a venture-backed startup pioneering a new online
service for the delivery of Internet TV. We are searching for an
exceptional person to take a position in our sales and business
development efforts. The right candidate is someone who is passionate
about media and can be the point person in evangelizing to prospects
across the video content and Web publishing industry. This person
must have a proven track record for delivering on or exceeding
revenue goals, ideally from within the media industry. The candidate
must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented,
creative, and possess outstanding communication and negotiating
skills.

Responsibilities:

• Create, implement and own a sales pipeline to manage customer
lead intake, outbound activity, prioritization and metrics for
measurement of deal status.

• Achieve sales goals each quarter.

• Continuously develop an extensive set of relationships with
prospects over the phone.

• Continuously grow revenue via increased reach and penetration
across numerous content owner accounts as well as sales of new and
incremental services.

• Work closely with the business development team to structure and
negotiate optimal deal terms.

• Close deals over the phone.

• Qualify high volumes of inbound requests.

• Work closely with the corporate customer support team to share
learning across key customer accounts.

• Participate in the development and vetting of new product
development opportunities.

• Prepare deal overviews and contract summaries for key
stakeholders.

• Maintain a high volume of outbound phone activity.

Qualifications:

• 4 - 6 years experience in Inside Sales, ideally for a leading
media company.

• Demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline, carry through and
close deals.

• Demonstrated ability to qualify opportunities in large volumes
and interact with other team members to work toward closing deals.

• An ability to assess client needs effectively and address needs
through new products and services.

• A proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals.

• A proven ability to demonstrate a solution over the phone/web
conference.

• Hands-on approach to tackling tactical as well as strategic work.

• Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced,
entrepreneurial startup in which cross-functional teamwork and
initiative is a must.

• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
