We are seeking a bright young candidate to fill a junior
editing/camera position for a small national broadcast production
company based out of Park City, UT. We will consider applicants
fresh out of college as long as you are able to demonstrate strong
production capability.

Position will involve editing and shooting four nationally televised
ESPN Outdoor Sports series (see: www.fischerproductions.com).
Candidates will be required to have previous editing and camera
operating experience, along with the ability to travel and work in a
fast-paced, self-initiating environment. Our offices are based out
of Park City, UT, which is where the candidate will spend the
majority of their work time posting shows.

A DEMO REEL IS REQUIRED. FREELANCE OPPORTUNITIES WILL NOT BE
CONSIDERED.

THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION REQUIRING RELOCATION TO THE UTAH AREA.

Job Title: Junior Editor/Camera Operator - Outdoor Sports

Effective Date: 2/19/07 Close Date: 3/19/07

Reports To: Director of Production
Purpose: Entry level editing/camera position with rapid advancement
potential

Principal Responsibilities:

- Ability to story-tell on both a visual and narrative level

- In touch with the latest cutting-edge editing styles and
industry standards

- In-house hands-on editing with Final Cut Pro and/or other
non-linear applications

- ENG/EFP broadcast video camera operation with demonstrated ability
to compose shots, operate field audio, and light scenes

- Assist senior staff with Field Production and story
development

- Uphold our Values and Beliefs, Vision and Mission Statement

- Requires international travel and ability to adapt with other
cultures

Minimum Requirements:

Skills: Proficient knowledge of operating broadcast camera and
editing equipment. Someone with strong interpersonal skills, ability
to take direction, detail-oriented individual who is able to take
initiative and requires little supervision.

Interest: A broad interest in a variety of projects from Food
Channel to Outdoor Channel.

Education: Prefer College Degree or equivalent with minimum 1-2
years experience in the TV/Film industry. We will consider recent
graduates with proven broadcast training/ability in school.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years hands-on with field equipment.
Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality programming.
A demo reel is required.

Physical Demands:

- Individual should be in good health due to the many unforeseeable
demands in the industry.

- Lifting of production equipment and gear – up to 50 lbs.

- Dexterity, balance and the ability to work outdoors, including on
or near the ocean
