Then he goes out dressed as Scooby Doo, tells jokes to the public and gets them to tell a joke in return. Silly. But very watchable. They've got a nice rapport, and I think it translates well to the web. It's high on comedy, with some weather/traffic info tossed in. We've been doing it for about a week. It's very difficult to accomplish that. But if you stay on it, stay committed to it, you can build an audience. I take the time I have while my story is being edited to write a quick blog entry. Or the time I'm waiting for a call back. But I try to blog every day, and videoblog a couple times a week. As a GA reporter who blogs and video blogs, it’s critical to do it regularly. He gets a ton of e-mailed questions, and answers 1 a day in a video e-mail that people sign up for (go to wcco.com slash goodquestion). I've been experimenting with some videoblogging, although we don't have a good vlog page yet. I e-mail it to subscribers, and post it in the video section of my blog (click my name- I've linked the video). We do a couple things at our station.
