The Team Leader is a master at using the tools of the medium, driving interactivity, leveraging databases and creating multimedia content. The Team Leader works alongside reporters, producers and editors across the print, broadcast and online platforms taking advantage of convergence opportunities and supporting partner efforts to post breaking news as well as video and multimedia packages, and ensuring completeness and accuracy throughout our news channels.

A key responsibility of the Team Leader is to supervise and direct the activities of the Continuous News Desk, a multi-platform initiative designed to deliver the most timely, thorough and complete reporting of up-to-the-minute news in the Tampa Bay area. The CND acts as the primary reporting arm of the website, and a key contributor to breaking news reporting for both The Tampa Tribune and WFLA-TV. The Team Leader plans and directs day-to-day coverage within his or her area of responsibility and plans for the rollout of major content initiatives and major audience-generating initiatives across the year. The Team Leader is responsible for employee development for his/her team members.
