TITLE: Web Producer
REPORTS TO: News Director/Assistant News Director
DEPARTMENT: News
GENERAL PURPOSE

To produce relavent and timely content for station websites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for managing and producing fresh content for website and
associated digital product. Content includes text stories, polls,
blogs, video, images, links, and other items. Responsbile for
expanding on existing content to give deeper value to end users.
Responsible for updating and monitoring website and associatied
digital products regularly, and assigning content to areas and
sections in a manner most valuable to end user. Will work with
management to formulate processes for website management and be the
“web advocate” in daily editorial meetings. Responsible for
answering user and viewer questions about website and/or on-air
content.

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for regular beat checks, newsgathering; will work on
Assignment Desk and serve as back-up Producer and other duties as
assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY:

Must have excellent writing and grammar skills, solid news judgement,
and have working knowledge of internet.

EXPERIENCE:

4-year degree preferred, but will consider applicants with relavent
practical experience.
