Yep, that’s Liz Foreman blogging below. She’s back!

Steve Safran March 4th, 2007

We welcome back Liz Foreman to the LR fold after a too-long hiatus. Liz’s official bio ain’t kidding when it says she is a pioneer of web TV sites. She goes back to 1998 - when we were all trying to figure out what the heck to do and when Cory was passing around an email to friends who working toiling in backrooms of TV stations trying to hand-knit websites, one bit at a time. Liz is the Internet Site Director at WCPO.com in Cincinnati. (And among the many reasons I admire her is my inability to spell “Cincinnati” without looking it up.) Welcome home, Liz.

Is there a way to get the post author to appear on the permalinked entry with the comments? I read Lost Remote through my Firefox live bookmarks, and it sure would be nice to know who is writing what. For some reason, the author doesn’t seem to be on this screen.

Liz, Dahling…. faaaabulous to see you back again! With all these warm fuzzies about your accompishments, I must add that not only was Liz one of the pioneers for local TV sites, she was an honest-to-goodness wiz kid. The first time she and I met, we were renting her a car at a conference because the rental company said she was too young to rent her own.

Let it be a lesson: Recognize your young talent and take their perspectives to heart, give them trust, room to grow and opportunities to win and everyone will reap the benefits. This may be more important now than it was back in the boom-and-bust days.
