Couchville makes TV listings easy

Cory Bergman March 5th, 2007

A new site called Couchville (from the folks who behind Beyond TV) streamlines TV listings with drag-and-drop Ajax functionality. Just enter your zip and your TV service, then drag the program guide any which way like it’s a Google map. Click a show and see a schedule of upcoming episodes. Clean and simple.

That’s a great site. Simple, intuitive, and easy to use. Just gives me what I want with nothing else, especially not loads of graphical ads for shows I don’t care about. I particularly like how it gives you Upcoming Airings of a show you’re interested in. Not the most important feature but all the other guides have gotten rid of this nice little feature. Thanks for pointing out this little bookmark-worthy gem.

Another good one is titantv dot com.

Couchville works well for broadcast, but the tiny grid makes at-a-glance overviews of larger lineups impossible. TitanTV is much better suited for cable or satellite.
