Mike,
I agree coRank's goal is also to eliminate as much noise as possible. I like BlueDot and I think you guys have done a great job.

coRank is still too young and at this point is nothing more than a pet project (a pet project I love BTW) and honestly I'd rather it remains small and useful than crowded and filled up with nonsense stuff.

Steve, thanks for your comments. You should see some developments coming up soon targeted to what precisel you mention in your post :-)

I just clicked over there. TOTAL sausage-fest.

Boring so far, let's jazz it up a little and add some 14 year-old girls with Laguna Beach backgrounds and Lil' Kim music on their profiles.

I the "Head Cheerleader" at Blue Dot. You're right, it is an evolving space - not sure it's that informative to say anymore that this service is just like these other two added together (though that's a convenient shorthand for people trying to understand what these new sites do).

Rumors that MySpace is adding a bookmarking feature now change the equation too.

Blue Dot started as "social bookmarking" - much like del.icio.us, but focused on showing users a summary of what their friends are "dotting". In January, we too, expanded our offering by adding Blue Dot Buzz - showing the most popular bookmarks across our network.

I think our ultimate vision is much like that described for coRank - we're trying to make it easier for user to find the most interesting content on the web, without being ovewrhelmed by noise.
