   Holy Venus and Mars! The article says “this difference doesn’t just occur with images of people. Men tend to fixate more on areas of private anatomy on animals as well, as evidenced when users were directed to browse the American Kennel Club site.”

   I’m not saying guys don’t stare at the crotch more, but in this case, that’s where the ball crosses the plate. If that’s a video people are watching, I’ll look around the belt for the ball and the swing, my wife will stare at his face cause she could care less that a 95 mph fastball is about to be swung through.

   I give you props for trying to find a plausible explanation SS, but the this was a still photo on a larger web page that also included written information.
   Men and women in the study were “directed to find out information about his (George Brett’s) sport and position” by looking at the page. Both men and women looked at the photo as they persued the page, but only the dudes checked out the crotch.
   Also, there would be no anticipation of fast-balls on the Kennel Club site.

   if women don’t like this kind of sport they just try to discern the face, but the next question – where women should fix their eyes?

   Men focus both on crotch and face, because they want to predict the region the ball can hit
