It's complete and utter garbage. I have started NOT watching channels that throw this sort of garbage into the show I am watching. I will NOT buy nor watch any show that is advertised in this manner during a show that I am trying to watch. I also find it highly annoying when I want to read the credits to see whom a character was that starred in a show only to see the credits reduced to 1/4 of the screen so that they can plug an advertisement or something else in place of it. I think that the opening credits, show contents, and ending credits should be shown without any interruptions; this means no overlaid garbage when these three items are running. Run these where they belong, during commercial breaks, or expect me, the viewer, to no longer watch your station period.

I'm frustrated by all the cable programs having pop-up ad advertising during the show especially when it blocks sub titling and part of the picture. I did not buy this huge tv too have bigger commericals, We not only pay for cable programming too have a ton of commericals and because of DVR they are still squeezing the ads in I HATE IT! I now watch less TV because of it or just change the channel. It Is such a big $$$$$$ that industry they just do not care

I agree, regular commercials are more than enough. I don't want "pay" for 24/7 ads and promotions on the screens of my TV's. It is distracting and infringes on my limited down time. " It's like the pandhandler that won't go away"

I have been noticing "pop up" type ads while watching various shows and channels. I detest them and will refuse to watch channels that continue to do this. I also have made a decision to boycott the products advertised in this type of force feeding manner. It is truly disruptive to the viewing experience.

If I see this, I'm gone. Never to watch an ABC again. I will not ever buy any product advertised this way.

There once was an According to Jim where everyone had cellphones, which rang many times throughout the episode, and each time they rang, the camera got a nice tight shot of the logo. It was ridiculous. You just had this camera staring at a vibrating phone as it jingled away for a while, with no action or dialog otherwise.

It's not a totally bad concept but I suspect that the truly organic opportunities to do it without being too intrusive/offensive will be quite limited. It's going to be hard for them to resist the temptation to start forcing it more to "expand the inventory", which will not only make it a bad advertising idea, it also has the potential to negatively impact the viewing experience...and probably creative processes...of the shows themselves. Be very careful to avoid starting a downward spiral that will result in worse programs, lower ratings and ultimately, diminished potential for advertisers.

Yet another way to drive me away from watching network TV. Make it compelling and I'll watch. Make it onerous, and I'm gone.
