If this takes off you’ll soon see websites with instructions on how to defeat the front screen turnoff function, just like those that teach you how to mod a Tivo or an Xbox.

How hard could it be? It’s probably just tied into the brake or transmission sensors.

hey, i recall makeshift battery powered tv’s in the back of cars/vans heading to florida for xmas break back in the early 70’s (presumably to keep the kids quiet).

antennae sticking out the winders in search of a local signal.

Did they stop making backseat DVD players? Somehow I don’t think you’ll calm down the kids with 16 minutes of commercials an hour, and something they can’t start and stop on command.
