Google introduces free wireless broadband via your toilet

Stephen Warley April 1st, 2007

Google has just announced it will offer free wireless broadband access to anyone with a computer and a toilet. (Yes, you are reading that correctly.) I’m from Boston, so you know how susceptible we are to hoaxes (it is April Fool’s Day after all). Can this really be true?? I’m not sure what is making me more skeptical, that Google is really offering all of us free broadband access or they have found a way to turn raw sewage into gold. I’m sure you’ve got questions, so Google is ready with some answers. So who is going to give this a try and report back to LR? Has Google gone too far or am I even having trouble appreciating their brilliance? Let the jokes fly my friends . . .

At least for today, I love Google.
Tomorrow, they’re back to being big business Walmart in my eyes.

Police in Boston are shutting down the city as the respond to reports of suspicious, possibly terrorist-related poop.

Click on my name to go to the BBC page with the Spaghetti Harvest video. The video quality is a lousy 35 kbps, but you’ll get the idea - and there’s a great writeup about how it was done. This marks the 50th anniversary of one of the all-time great British pranks.

How dumb was I. I was trying to find the address to sign up but couldn’t find one! :) I was thinking that it was probably something only available in the states and not the UK and later thought it was jubious that there wasn’t an address to write to!

Also I should have realized that dumping on a set of wires wouldn’t catch on too quickly!

Something for next April: Sewer rats with batteries in used as wireless mice?what do you think?

    Love and peace!
