Google unwraps Web optimizer tools

David Johnson April 4th, 2007

In one of the biggest recent releases to an already enormous set of tools, Google is bowing the Google Website Optimizer. Focused on converting traffic and improving pages, the Website Optimizer is intended as the third leg of the proverbial stool with AdWords (driving traffic and revenue) and Google Analytics (measuring Web activity). Depending on the site and business plan, conversions could mean turning viewers into customers, turning users into viewers, and so on. The toolkit is free to registered AdWords users and can be downloaded at www.google.com/websiteoptimizer.
