NBC.com is going to start adding new online offerings from its late night programs. The site will have original content from SNL, The Tonight Show, Late Night and Last Call. Writes Mediaweek:
Saturday Night Live’s new Web series Backstage will see show producer Marci Klein providing site visitors a tour of the inner workings of the long-running sketch show. In addition, Tonight staffers John Melendez and Ross Matthews will host of similar behind-the-scenes look at the Leno-hosted talker.
SNL fans will also be asked to upload videos of themselves hosting homebrewed “Weekend Updates.” We’re hoping for the next Tina Fey.
