ROO is a one-stop Internet video specialist which helps thousands of
customers around the globe in the fields of entertainment, content
publishing, web publishing and advertising to quickly and
comprehensively take advantage of the shifting consumer preferences
to watch video via the Internet and broadband-connected devices.
ROO Group, Inc is seeking a Sales Engineer to help support the New
York Distribution Sales team. This position will play a key role as a
technical liaison between sales consultants, account managers,
operational/development engineers, and our increasing list of
strategic clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical support for Distribution Sales team during pre-sale
opportunities
- Performing product demos online as well as onsite with prospects
- Assess client technical needs, map to current product offering
- Identify additional revenue opportunities while
- Work closely with clients in the design and
implementation/integration of the product, assuring smooth transition
to account manager
- Conduct technical meetings and provide written and verbal
communication to the client
- Technical liaison between sales consultants, account managers,
operational/development engineers, and client
- Product training for clients and business partners
- Writing technical documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of digital media technical experience (streaming
media, UGC, DRM, etc)
- Sales engineering experience a plus
- BS or equivalent required
- Strong understanding sales engineering responsibilities and its
role within a company
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Self motivated, driven, and able to multitask competing priorities
without being micro-managed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamically changing business
environment
- Occasional travel, face-to-face client meetings, and tradeshows
- Good organizational skills
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong appreciation for
teamwork
