ROO is a one-stop Internet video specialist which helps thousands of
customers around the globe in the fields of entertainment, content
publishing, web publishing and advertising to quickly and
comprehensively take advantage of the shifting consumer preferences
to watch video via the Internet and broadband-connected devices.
We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, Systems Support
Engineer to help us sustain our rapid growth by supporting our 24×7
production environment as well as our growing list of customers. The
ideal candidate should be able to work in a high pace media
environment, be able to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose complex
technical issues as well as be able to assist our development teams
with the infrastructure.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
* Support and Manage a 24×7 production datacenter running mostly
windows 2003 operating systems and Linux
* Manage Level 1 and Level 2 technical support issues
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003, IIS, SQL Server
* Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and open source
technologies such as Apache, mysql , php, PERL
* Knowledge of internetworking concepts such as TCP/IP, HTTP,
Firewalls, Load Balancing, VPN, IPSEC Tunnels, FTP, SSH, Caching
* Knowledge of storage concepts such as RAID, NAS, SAN, Logical and
Physical volume management
* Ability to troubleshoot server hardware components such as CPU,
Memory, BIOS, NIC, HBA, Hard drive and Logical Storage Volumes
* Ability to manage, support and troubleshoot a high availability SQL
clustering environment
* Strong communication skills for both customers and internal users
