KGW, a Belo Corp. subsidiary, has an immediate opening for an
individual to work as a Promotion Writer/Producer/Editor. Individual
is responsible for writing, producing, and editing news topical and
image promos, as well as promos for station events and campaigns. In
addition, will supervise and execute all pre- and post-production of
current projects. Assist Creative Services Director with event
management and on-air spot placement as needed. May also perform some
graphic artist work as needed.

Position requires a College degree, three years experience in
writing, producing, and editing highly produced promos, strong verbal
communication, strong tease writing, computer skills, and experience
with television news. Demonstrated ability to edit your own spots at
a highly proficient level using non-linear editing systems,
creatively integrating graphics, natural sound, and music. A high
level of technical expertise with various linear and non-linear
editing equipment is essential. Knowledge of After Effects and
Photoshop highly desirable. Experience with live non-news local
programming is also highly desirable. Flexibility to occasionally
work evenings or weekends.
