  I am proud to say I’m a Christian, but I won’t judge anyone whether they’re atheists or not. If you acclaim or say you’re an atheist, and don’t believe in God, then obviously you don’t think there’s a God. If you do, it’s not the God, it’s gods-from what I know. Who cares? Those of you that do care will get offended no matter what other people say, esepcially if that’s what you want to hear..that’s what you’re going to hear. This is so retarded.   I feel sorry for anyone who does not believe in GOD!! The world is not perfect because of the sin of man. GOD created each of us out of Love and did not want us to be puppets!!   i think its sad that the human race believes in gods instead of them selfs. what ever happened to thou shall not kill. every one knows there has been to many wars and killing of one another over so many different religous believes. every one i,ve asked why they believe in god, the answer is always the same, because my father and mother taught me so, not because they believe, think about that one. people believe in some sort of god because there greedy for more life after death, they can,t accept that death is the end of life. sorry when your dead your dead, i,ts over, so deal with it. i feel sorry for the people who believe in gods, and live there whole life in fear of heaven and hell, what a waste of life, especialy the christians, there the worst. i,m a non believer and my name gregg not athiests, so d,ont label me, also all athiests don,t want to go to heaven, because they don,t believe in heaven and hell or god remember! christians don,t feel sorry for the non-believers, feel sorry for your own selfs, thats all for know, i will write again. gregg m.

  another question, why is it that every one believes there religion is the one and only religion.then they want to shove it down your throat trying to convince to convert to there religion. also what about the preist and preachers and other heads of religion that believe in god so much with all there hearts, that they spend most of there lives brain washing us that there is a god, that they commit sins against innoncent children, such as molesting them sexually. are they not afraid of going to hell,i guess not. what does that tell you, must not be a hell. what is even worse is that there are people high up in the churchs that cover it up and decieve and lie to the people. are they not even afraid of god or hell. explain that. guess not. wake up people and start thinking for your selfs. live in the real world instead of the non-existing spiritual world. stop killing the innoncent in the name god, budha, allah, and any others gods there might be. please in the name of us and your children i begg you. praise the human race. i will write again, gregg m.

  In response to Gregg M. You are correct there are religious leaders who have sinned and others who have tried to cover it up. No one here is perfect. We all sin. Just because a person sins doesn’t mean they don’t believe in Heaven and hell. Your argument has no substance.
  In your earlier comment you said people live in fear of heaven and hell. No one who believes in the lord lives in fear of Heaven. They live in anticipation of the glory of it all.
  I ask you to explain this. There are over 300 prophecies written hundreds of years prior to the birth of Jesus. Some of these prophecies foretold of His birth and crucifixion. ALL of these prophecies have come true. That is the equivalence of smashing a watch into a million pieces, throwing the pieces into the air and having it land back on the ground in its original form. How have all these prophecies come true Gregg?

  I am a christian and agree with Wanda and Mike. If christians were pushing something bad, ie: drugs, porn,guns, murder,adultry, stealing, etc, then I might be able to understand the atheist point of view. But look at the 10 Commandments of God. What do they promote?Love of fellow human beings, respect for them as well as ourselves,and a way to live a happy, productive life. And Jesus made it even easier to follow…Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. And thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Paraphrased from Matthew 22:37. What a beautiful world this would be, if only we would believe and follow that. But man has free will. Society, in part, has allowed the ravages of drugs, guns, murder, rape, adultry, etc. to take over. Put blame where it belongs. Just because a person says they are a christian, doesn’t make them one. A true christian will try their very best to follow God’s commandments, and you will be able to see that. Are some of you that ignorant to believe that a priest or anyone else that claims to be a christian, is one, when they commit murder, rape, an horrible sin against children, etc??????Just look at our history from when God was taken out of schools and things like abortion were allowed. Compare todays news headlines to that of 40 years ago. Use the brain that GOD put between your ears, wake up and see what you can do to make things better. If you look in the right direction, you will see God has all the right guidelines for a wonderful society.And to Gregg, learn how to type, and get more informed!!!! As for Tony, go visit a state facility, and learn what it really means to be retarded or blind, before you use that reference again. Most people with disabilities, believe in God, and have more love and compassion than you could ever hope for.Jesus is coming back soon…and no, it won’t be in a spaceship!!!!!!!   Who wrote these prophecies? Please list 100 of the “over 300″, and who they were written by, I think you’ll find they were rather ambiguous as to allow a sort of “free interpretation”.

  That is not of course to take into account the numerous mis-translations of the bible that wind up leading to misconceptions such as the necessity of a “virgin” birth, which was really a mis-translation of the word for young woman.

  Perhaps check the facts on your religion sometime. Try reading ALL the gospels, Thomas, Mary, etc. etc that were conveniently left out of the New testament because they were “too unbelievable”. Read up on the Council of Nantes and why it makes Jesus’ so called sacrifice much less noble. Educate yourself as to why YHWH, the Hebrew god you so fervently believe in never had an opposing force, a.k.a. the Devil until the idea was swept into the religion through the concept of dualism found in other Persian religions of the time.

  Christianity is the great conformist religion and that is one of the reasons it has done so well. It never tries to ‘beat’ other religions, it just swallows them up, making them a part of itself. Constantine was actually a worshipper of the Sun God, and moved the Christian holy day to Sunday (instead of the then normal Saturday sabbath) in honor of his God. All of these tid-bits of info scream at how much you’ve been lied to all your life. These orders were not handed down by God in the beginning of days but were made up by people in power as they went along to keep all of you sheep in line. Religion has its uses, and people in power love using it.

  Want to conquer a nation? Send in the priests to subdue the people so you can massacre them in the name of the Lord. Good ole “Manifest Destiny” at work. What an imaginative tool we have in Religion, incredibly useful if I do say so myself. So keep practicing the faith and keep those eyes shut. Nobody up top is going to care as long as you don’t get in their way.

  Either side has a good argument in this debate. The Christian says, “If there is not a Creator, then how can all of this exist?” “The human body is so complex that something, or someone, with greater powers than man, had to have a hand in it’s creation.

  The Atheist asked, “If your Creator is so powerful, then who created him?” “You give me this answer.” “God has always been, or he is outside of time.” “At some point , God had to have a beginning, no matter how far you go back.”

  Dear Angie, Mike , and BJSC., We are truly the lucky ones because we know the truth !! We are compassionate because we care about where our fellow human beings will spend eternity who do not believe and we do not want them to suffer. I pray for all the non-believers because I do not want them to live in eternal hell but it is their choice. Hopefully they will find their way some how to know that GOD is truly a loving and caring GOD. Luke and Gregg are in for a rude awakening when their time has come. Luke knows a tiny , tiny ,tiny bit of the BIBLE and is incorrect about certain meanings and is the one who has misinterpreted what the BIBLE says Luke does not understand the New Testament. Also Virgin does not mean Young woman but a woman who has no carnal knowledge of man and is chaste. I pray for all the non-believers because I do not want them to suffer and I want them to know our loving FATHER-GOD/SON/HOLY-SPIRIT. GOD created us out of love!!!! GOD Loves You all and so Do I, Wanda PS All Christians were not brought up as children to know GOD. Madeline O’Hare or Hare was one of the most well known Atheist leaders and brought Her children up to believe Her way. Her son found GOD and Madeline and Her daughter met death by being murdered. There is no death but eternal life in hell or eternal life in HEAVEN. Going to HEAVEN is not greedy , it is loving GOD .   Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort were wonderful. Their graciousness and good humored responses were so appreciated. Unfortuntely their gentle and disarming manner was not quite sufficient to wind Kelly down who appeared on the verge of blowing a gasket.

  Ray gave a simple presentation of how Creation, our conscience and on radical change that takes place in a person’s life upon encountering God proved His existence.

  The atheists took exception to Ray mentioning the Ten Commandments alleging that this violated the debate agreement (to prove the existence of God apart from faith and the Bible).

  However, if they would have been less quick to accuse and more apt to listen, Ray was not using the Bible to prove the existence of God, (IE. God exists because the Bible says so), he was using the consience of man to prove the existence of God, showing how the law of God (the Ten Commandments) is written on our conscience.

  The responses by the “Rational Response Squad” lacked the rationality that their name promised. Though for those who have never looked into these issues before, perhaps they would be comforted by what without further investigation might have appeared to be reasonable answers. For those who simply want to believe the atheist view and don’t wish to bother themselves with any hard thinking perhaps it may have appeared rational. ???

  But most of the responses were trite answers that have been soundly refuted on numerous previous occasions. I was hoping for something truly profound that would require some serious thought. I was dissapointed.

  Gregg, My heart goes out to You in Your confusion. Mike did not condone sin and say it is okay, He said because we are not perfect we will. It is not okay to rape and murder , but rapist and murderers who truly are remorseful and find GOD and repent of their sin and ask JESUS to come into their heart and ask for forgiveness , then they will go to HEAVEN! Being a Christian is not about religion, it is about JESUS/FATHER-GOD/HOLY-SPIRIT. Kirk Cameron stated that He use to be an atheist . I moved to Iowa from California and went to the same Church as Kirk did in California. Kirk has been a Christian for several years. He went to the early service and most of the time I went to the 11AM. Gregg , You are the one who does not like what He reads or sees. I am not judging You-You are making judgements on Yourself. I do not love GOD out of fear, I love GOD because HE is and HE loves Me and He also loves You!! GOD is the beginning and the end ,Alpha and Omega. Gregg, You seem to be filled with anger. Gregg, You do not know Me but I will tell you that both my parents died tragically years apart( Mother 2005)=they were Christians and My older Brother due to a Doctors mistake has been since 11 years of age at Woodward State School and Hospital . My Brother was born normal but at 6 months it was too late to undo what the Doctor missed. I do not hate the Doctor and I do not hate GOD but Love God with all My heart. We learn from tradgedy and everything there is a BLESSING. Gregg , My life has been far from perfect with alot of pain but I am joyous in the LORD. I do not know who You turn to when You are hurting but GOD takes care of Me. I pray that GOD will take away Your hurt !!   The “Does God exist” question has been answered many times by the true servants of God and Jesus Christ.
  For example, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote a booklet that was first published back in 1957, then again in 60, 70 and 71. The booklet was free for the asking and had the title “Does God Exist”, and in it proof was given both from a scientific prospective as well as from plain common sense, besides creation itself.
  Scripture reveals in PSALM 14:1 & 53:1 that it is only the FOOL who says that there is no God! But those that are wrapped up in the “Christianity” even, of this secular world today, do not know the true God, but in stead look to the god of this world! (2 Cor.4:3-4) God is Spiritually discerned and those who truly do worship him do so in the Spirit and Truth. (John 4:23-24) They know with out any doubt that God exist’s and always has, thus the title EVERLASTING GOD, or everliving one. They also know that the bible does not teach going to heaven, the secret rapture, the immortality of the soul or that God is a trinity.
  Jesus Christ will return to this earth and set up the KINGDOM of GOD and probably in the life time of those who are reading this, unless you are already on your death bed. God speed the day! No ONE who does not know God would have much real success at proving His existence to the closed minded person who does not want the truth.

  Scientist use to be more in the Atheist mind set and now are more Christian because of Scientific research!! I do not go though by scientist , I go by faith in GOD and by GOD and what the BIBLE says. There are different “religious sects” that have written their own take on the BIBLE. The Mormans and the Jehovah’s Witness are two . There is only one true BIBLE written by GOD By Men of faith that GOD has spoken to such as Paul the disciple who was one of the strongest believers. Gregg, and others religion is man made to worship the one and only GOD or false gods. I can see where You could get confused. I go to Church to praise GOD and worship GOD=The TRINITY/FATHER-GOD/SON/HOLY-SPIRIT. I have read the BIBLE front to back and I read everyday and it does speak of the believer going to HEAVEN!!! Mathew 6:20-21 But lay for Yourselves treasures( not secular such as gems ect.. but of GODS Love ) in HEAVEN, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves break through nor steal. 6:21For where Your treasure is , there will Your heart be also. John 14:2 In MY FATHER’S house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told You. I I go to prepare a place for You. Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are suject to you; but rather jejoice, because your names are written in HEAVEN. Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in HEAVENLY places in CHRIST JESUS. These are not my words but GODS words. Again the BIBLE is Basic Instructions Before leaving earth. Those who are looking for a Church to go to, go to as many as it takes and find a Church who speaks about JESUS. JESUS is most important.   Why is it that some People always revert to the term supersition when they really cannot add to the subject and or have to use the word hate in speaking of faiths or their use of religion and add the word hate? Truly some so called thinking People only have a vacuum for a mind. GOD is real , GOD is love and there is only one true GOD. Some pray to statues which have eyes but they see not, ears but they hear not and mouths which they speak not.   wanda, first i,m not confusied. i,m very clear on my believes, second please read what i wrote carefully, because i,m not angry, if it seems that way it,s because i,m tired of people like you who say i feel sorry for you, just because i don,t believe. another thing nothing has happened to me. i live a good life, no pain and suffering or abuse, like you would like think, it must make it easier to believe that. instead of why he dosen,t believe in god like me,or thats what they brain wash with. people who are so called atheist have been hurt or had a bad life, not true. i,m very sorry for your pain you,ve suffered. also i,m not a kid or kiddo, i,m 44 years old. i,m sucessful in bussiness and in having a loving relationship with my wife. do you have these things, if not your letting your religioun hold you back, again i,m sorry for you. but the way you speak it,s sounds like you comdemn people for not being a christian, that,s what makes me upset. because i don,t condemn you for being a christian and certainly would not hurt you or anyone for being one, i,m a passive person and don,t believe in violance. but history has proven that like you have hurt and killed people like me. i urge to read your history. i,m a very happy person and completely content with my life, are you. i go out of my way to help people and family without anything in return except the good feeling it leaves me in my heart. nothing has happened to me tragically, but thank you for asking.but i bet you turn to god after all your painful events in your life, your so consumed with your believes and grief that your blinded by them, again i.m sorry for you. one time i watched ministry show and the minister himself does not believe that child murders and rapist do not go to your so called heaven no matter what they say or do, even if they ask forgivness. so you tell me are you right or is the minister who studied religioun, the right one. like i said people like you will repeat the same sins over and over you think you will always be forgiven. i,ll say it again that is what is wrong with the world. instead of preaching the word of god preach the word of peace, and not just preaching the word of peace but actualy doing something about it. you see wanda i think if all the religious people and non religious people would take half of the effort they put into believeing or not believeing in god we could stop the wars! don,t you, and is that not what is really important,would you not like to see peace on earth. after all it,s not the churchs or the goverments that fight and die in these wars it,s the people like you and me that die in these wars. we the people if we all join together have the greatist power. i have traveled all over the world and met different people and cultures and found that the people are the same everywhere like you and me. they just want peace and to be able to provide a good life for them and their familys, is that not what you want, is that not what everybody wants, i do. but what i have learned from all the different people i,ve talk to around the world is that religioun and goverments who have been sleeping in the same bed together so to speak get in the way, these to groups cause hate and anger among the people, which then causes war and killing among the people again another reason i get upset or angry. i would not kill any one because of what they believe in, because i believe it,s wrong. i be willing to believe your god also thinks that. remember the ten commandents, THOU SHALL NOT KILL! for as i know that means for any REASON! i,m afraid for me and my family because of yours and other religiouns past.   Dear Gregg, I did not condemn You nor do I think I said I felt sorry for You.   Dear Thinker, i never said that i have died so many times, i said i have had so many deaths in My life in the last two years meaning seven People in My life that meant alot to Me. My Aunt Lena , My Mother ( she meant the world to Me under GOD) , then My GOD-Father , then a Friend I have know since I was three or four all died in 2005, and then in March of 2006 an Aunt/Mother like figure died in California and a dear older Friend who was like an Uncle died of cancer and then this year My Mothers oldest sister died . GOD kept Me strong so I can always be there for others . These dear People died an earthly death but transitioned to eternal life . I was so BLESSED to have all these wonderful People in my life.   Look around what do you see. I World of beauty, color, smells, sounds. It didn’t come from nothing. Look in a mirror what do you see, a human body so complicated It cannot be duplicated. Creation happens everytime a child is concevied, and that child is unique in his/her own way. It doesn’t come from nothing.

  I agree that cration didnt come from nothing. So a god was created top police stupid people. But it fails to give us will when religion censors for the sorrow that the crook perpatrats.   Dear Sis-in-CHRIST Maureen, You know JESUS and You know that You are saved . GOD is the TRINITY=FATHER/SON/HOLY-SPIRIT. The Thinker is an Atheist and He just wants to argue and do name calling. Atheist can be nice People , but they are lost because they do not know the LORD. In this day and age more than any other time Scientist are proving GOD is real because HE is.!! I know HE is without the Scientist because of faith and of experiences . WE are lucky and have loving hearts and sadly the Thinker has a hardened heart and is not ready to believe. Someday He will realize that GOD is real.Hopefully that is before he dies. I love everyone and do not want to think of anyone ending up in hell.   You can believe whatever you want to believe. I believe that there is a GOD that created everything and Jesus died for my sins to give me a chance to get to Heaven.

  Fortunately a lot of people dont’ believe that way so that will make Heaven an even more pleasurable experience without them there.

  why all the fuss?? no matter what you say they won’t belive you. i was once an atheist, then i did alot of research and found out they were wrong. its really sad cause i can understand where they are coming from, i felt the same once. but now i found the truth and the truth has set me free. just pray for them, specially greg m. i really like him. maybe if you pray hard enoughsomething will happen in his life and he too will change. nothing is impossable, but to keep argueing will only make them hate more.

  I verry Thanks to God jesus for bring me a preacher, and when he tell me about Salvation in Christ Jesus, and he explain to me God Himself, who we are, why we must believe Him, and why He died on the Cross, and they say Jesus up to heaven and will come againts and He will take us together live in heaven, and now His Holly spirit live with me! I can feel it, in His presence! Yes, in the formaly I am not Christian, but now was Save! Thanks God in Ghrist Jesus!
