Tribune Interactive is looking for a creative and energetic Producer
to grow and maintain its website, cw11.com. Be interested in
entertainment and celebrity news and come armed with fresh ideas
about how to creatively showcase our talent and original brand.
Applicants should be self-starters and out-of-the-box thinkers with

television stations. The person who fills this New York-based
position will also help support the Company’s other television
websites.
Reponsibilities include:
- Running the website’s day-to-day operations: gathering, creating
and posting fresh content; improving the user experience and search
engine optimization; troubleshooting technical issues.
- Working closely with WPIX station personnel and TI’s Executive
Producer to set and maintain the site’s editorial vision, voice and
tone.
- Being the catalyst for cooperation between local station personnel
and the Company’s local newspaper properties, newsday.com and
amNY.com, nurturing editorial relationships to grow the station’s
online reach
- Advocating and executing online solutions for growing the
station’s audience and building its brand, including, but not limited
to, supervising the creation and distribution of original celebrity
interviews and entertainment news video.
- Using metrics/analytics to showcase and expand the best-performing
content.
- Providing sales support, identifying opportunities to generate
revenue, building contest modules and assessing campaign
performance.
Skills, Qualifications & Education:
Excellent communication, planning and diplomacy skills required. Must
be technically savvy and able to quickly master new processes and
software tools used for content editing and production. Know your way
around blogs, RSS and related web technology. Must be detail-oriented,
have excellent organizational skills, and able to manage and report on
multiple projects.
Have a minimum three years’ experience working with online content.
Bilingual skills are a plus, as is video and multimedia expertise. An
undergraduate degree in communications, journalism or related fields
is a plus — but not required. Knowledge of the New York market and
Tribune’s proprietary content management system would be ideal.
