This is awesome! If it's done right it could be social comentary on what we, as Americans, find to be important. That cavemen can be a funny way to wag the finger at a society that would rather look at Britiny's cooter than get something done about the war or find a way that parents don't have to pay so much the keep their children healthy.

I think they should offer it only as a download on abc.com, in a partnered deal with Geico. It's "niche" content - some of us will like it, not many.

Well since ABC canceled 11 of the shows that they introduced this season and 15 the year before, chances are this will be a bust. My prediction is that it doesn't make it to three episodes.

Junk like this gets picked up, but a classic like Arrested Development gets canned for "poor" ratings.

The question I have is who is wrong the most, weathermen or a TV network program director?

In parts of Australia, the guys in the Geico commercials would look like everybody else. They aren't "cavemen." They're overly sensitive, contemporary guys who mainly need haircuts. They're going to have to be regressed a lot to become cavemen.

But, like "Third Rock From the Sun," if the writing and casting are inspired, the show has a chance.

Why the networks never turned the old Samsonite gorilla commercial or that 'I can't believe I ate the whole thing' commercial for Alka Seltzer into primetime comedies is still beyond me. Cash money right there!

a pitch for rosenblum's "6 day turn" here...

the promotional value of this for geico has long past. they could have inked this, shot it and distributed it all while the concept was HOT!

but that was 6 months ago now.

ABC is just going to cancel it 1/3 of the way through anyway (like they do with all their other shows). So it's not that big of a gamble for them.

As Phil Hartman might say, "I'm just a caveman. This sitcom frightens and confuses me."
