Sorry to see the show canceled. Enjoyed the plot and firmly believe the plausability of the situation. Please consider a show including some closure. Thank you.

And they lived happily ever after... nice, I like Carls entry, but not another C.S.I. spinoff, no, it'll be another reality show... My mother wants to marry a monkey, or so you want to host a game show staring Bob Barker finding a replacement for him on the price was rigged show... I'd rather liked to see Jerico make at least another season.. I thought the show was a modern spin of old shows like Gunsmoke or other western shows, with the twist that is a nuke and setting the american dream back a century, with the internet..

CBS's idea of wrapping up the loose ends will be to create a two-hour movie to air during sweeps where the ending is a big nuke dropped on Jericho itself. Everybody dies. The end.

Then they make room for another CSI spinoff.

CBS seems to be programming like NBC was a few years back. They apparently weren't happy with Jericho being in 2nd place in its time slot behind American Idol.

The wrap-up to the show will have to be more than a 2-hour movie though...

Too bad Sci-Fi didn't pick the show up.

Whatever the unrealistic plot lines, from a pure ratings standpoint I can't see why this show was dropped. It was the network itself that forced the hiatus, then expected it to do well?

Some of what passes for intelligence on the programming level is just ludicrous. To cancel a show that people have invested time in is such a slap.

Note to CBS: I'll never trust your programming honchos again. You are so shortsighted with this decision. Give the show a chance to end gracefully. At the least, a mini-series. Additionally, I would fire the dolts who thought this made programming sense.

It's all Sprague Grayden's fault...it's 'Joan of Arcadia' all over again (kidding). Even I was surprised enough by the announcement to fire off an email (or a CBS website feedback form as the case may be). The upfronts this year bring news of truly awful television to come - with Veronica Mars getting knocked down as well. Any news on how well the web-only run of "Black Donnelleys" did - or "Daybreak" for that matter?

I liked the premise of the show, but too many moments rang false.

* If we really faced nuclear aftermath, would people drive their trucks around for every minor errand, despite the fact that we may never see another drop of gas?

* Would the crotchety old lady at the grocery store really insist on being paid in money, especially since paper money is worthless in a post-apocalyptic society?

* Would people be that calm when everything just went to hell in a handbasket?

* Must Gerald McRaney deliver every episode's life lesson in such a Wilford Brimley-esque manner?

For more about the aftermath of nuclear holocausts, visit your local library, where you can borrow Pat Frank's "Alas, Babylon" or the ultra-depressing and creepy British film "Threads."

I was ambivalent about Jericho. It had good moments, but sometimes the writing and acting were sub-par. It never lived up to its potential. It would have been a great show in 1988. It just seems dated in several ways. I did stick with it though......

"the compelling drama that was the ‘Jericho’ story.”

If they really felt that, wouldn't they have found ways (no midseason hiatus, pitting it against something besides American Idol and Dancing with the Stars) to draw a better audience?

Regardless, after watching many, many shows I enjoyed disappear into the abyss, I'm surprised and a bit encouraged fans were able to get at least this much of a post mortem response.
