Director, Production & Operations

The Disney/ ABC Media Group is seeking a Director of Production &
Operations to manage the day to day and future planning operational
aspects of our 24-hour news products- ABC News Now and ABCNEWS.com.

Responsibilities include:

-Manage team of 20+ producers, editors and production directors for
live news and Video On Demand production teams.

-Lead group to develop innovative solutions that will help our
growing business meet current challenges and prepare for future
growth.

-Act as main point of contact for all technical issues and projects
that relate to ABC News Now and ABCNEWS.com

-Work closely with engineering and technical support teams to ensure
quality, reliability and integration to enterprise resources.
Familiarity with technology required. This is not an engineering
position.

-Manage the departmental budget; partner closely with Finance to plan
future needs based on business objectives.

-Manage day to day operations.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Number of years work experience: 5-10 years

Skills:

-5-10 years of work experience in a live television/ digital media
production

-Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced and demanding
live/24-hour news environment

-Proven track record of innovative thinking and execution of large
scale technical projects

-Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

-Extensive experience with both video production and digital media

-Previous work experience within another media company
