Re: Ron Paul, remember... there IS such a thing as a vocal minority...

Last election cycle, I remember seeing his election speech and seeing him state that he would ONLY elect Christians to places of power, such as SCOTUS. Which, does OSHA apply to SCOTUS? Because I don't think anyone can do that, just based soley on religion, which was his point.

At any rate, it'll be interesting to see if he gains traction.

I like Technorati's new interface. It seems "cleaner", but I also have to point toward their "Help" link, which'll take you to their support forums.

It appears that they've had some issues with their explosive growth and there are some who question all of these widgets, when they're personally on the short end of a problem with their basic service.

RE: Ron Paul

There's a thing in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette which mentions this fact and because of my experience with doing something electiony, I can concur with their experience.

There's a highly-motivated Paul fanbase and though they probably each have their own canned email, I know that I've gotten several which try to get me to do more about him and though all of the emails are different, they each follow a similar format. So, much so, that I now have my own "canned" email that I send out in response.

Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me that this same group of people are manipulating Technorati. Of course, it may not be something sinister or even automated and it may only be that they're sitting on the thing, ready to pounce on anything new. But, I can say based on my own experience that there's a small and highly-motivated group of people, all of which like to use the word "grassroots" and whom seem to be using the web to their candidate's advantage.

Anyone else notice that anti-war Republican Ron Paul has been HUGE on Technorati, Digg, and YouTube lately? The dude's got a ton of myspace friends too...

He's nowhere in the polls though. Is it due to spamming or is he 2008's Howard Dean?
