Fernando\
You are right.
I apologize for the 'troglodyte' comment.
Most all of the people at b-roll.net are hard working dedicated professionals.
There are a few I could live without... personally,
but for the most part a very dedicated and serious group.

I'll stick to my original comment about her not being cut out for the news business. Anyone who has worked out in the field puts up with a lot more than that at times. She had the comfort of sitting in the station behind a computer all day. Imagine how she would have reacted with a real person in her face.

Btw, I don't blame her. She was offered an opportunity to work at a tv station in a top 30 market and jumped at it. Before you know it she was on the air. Hey, it's just tv, anyone can do it, right? The finger should be pointed at the former GM and ND for hire.

posting from The University of Chicago this am...

"she's not cut out for the news business"?

i'm surprised by that comment too.

tell me which station you work at allen. i will submit only a portion of the crap that was tossed at brittney directed toward one of your "news"people.

let's see if:

1. it even gets posted.

2. how thick their f!@#$%g skin is.

somehow, i think that will end the debate about which comment was uncalled for.

gotta go, graduation ceremony is starting and the head of the uni is looking over my shoulder.

I won't go as far as the naysayers, but I won't be surprised if unmoderated commenting becomes much less palatable for news organizations.

Michael, "new" journalism as opposed to "old" journalism? The delivery methods might be different, but its how a story is told that is the key. Journalism is journalism.
The troglodyte comment was uncalled for, makes you look like the one holding a banana.

The key words being "class" and "act". More students! We need more students! There are bills to pay and a never ending need for inexperienced, naive labor to produce shows!

Seems to me she's not cut out for the news business. She'll need thicker skin if she plans to continue.
