Marketwatch examines how ABC News rose to the top spot using a low-key, less-is-more approach. Made me remember what a surprise it was that Bob Schieffer’s old school approach to the CBS anchor chair was so well received. While there are debates about the continued relevance of the nightly news format in the hyperconnected information age, there may be value in the comfort level of the predictable, straight-up approach.
