Chicago Sun-Times — 1,860 — 0:07:22
Atlanta Journal-Constitution — 1,852 — 0:32:12
so the AJC has a fraction of a percentage point less visitors than the Sun but each visit lasts almost 5 times as long.
And the Sun is ranked higher?
Which traffic pattern would you rather have?
Am I missing something?

If you were to ever cast a glance at Nielsen.NetRatings methodology, you would join me in placing no value on their numbers whatsoever. Just their unwillingness to make a since measurement of the at-work audience speaks volumes of the real worth of the “metrics” they are peddling. The fact that Editor and Publisher cites these numbers without qualification speaks to how little that publication understands the web audience. Of course, that’s not surprising since it’s a newspaper trade journal (of sorts).
