msnbc.com and The Weather Channel expand partnership

Two powerful websites are working closer together as Weather Channel content is now more prominent on msnbc.com. Check out the new Weather page on msnbc.com to see the new content. Among the offerings are customizable current conditions, 36 hour forecasts, and regional and national weather maps from weather.com.

I’m surprised they don’t feature the NBC O&O’s WeatherPlus initiative.

Yeah, that surprises me, too.
Is it sad that this new section actually has a cleaner design than TWC’s own site (weather.com)?

I’m with the first two. Isn’t this a slap in the face to WeatherPlus? Beyond that, isn’t TWC already co-branding with the CBS O&Os?
