Yahoo acquires Rivals.com

Yahoo has bought the college sports network Rivals.com for around $100 million, reports PaidContent. Yahoo calls it “extremely complementary to Yahoo Sports.”

  1. This is the new CEO\’s first move since taking over the position earlier this week. Could it be a sign of the direction he wants to take the company?

  2. yep, new ceo’s almost always overpay for assets.

    Rival was ‘valued’ at 50-60M if i recall.
