VH1 simulcasts ‘Concert for Diana’ online, archives show

Steve Safran July 1st, 2007

VH1 showed the Concert for Diana Sunday, and put the show on its site simultaneously. Watching the online version was actually a little better - during set breaks, viewers watched taped performances of musicians rather than ads. The all-Sunday affair was then - impressively - immediately posted performance-by-performance at VH1 on demand. NBC is airing a one-hour recap Sunday night at 9E/8C, but after watching all afternoon, it’s hard to see how they can cram all this into an hour. Go with the VH1 on-demand stuff and choose your favorites. (Hint: skip the Andrew Lloyd-Webber section.)
