AOL relaunches video portal

Don Day July 2nd, 2007

AOL VideoAOL pulled back the curtain on its new video portal today. The site is pretty straightforward - but its video search works remarkably well - pulling in a wide variety of sources, including MSN, CNN, YouTube, CBS News and others. You can also upload your own video to the site. AOL says its seen the number of unique users grow for the video channel grow to more than 8 million per month.

The thing I like about it is that the videos we’re posting to our YouTube channel - see URL above - are being found in the AOL Video search engine.

The only thing is that not all of them are being found by AOL, so I’ll see about tweaking our keywords and headlines for each video to try and make them easier to find. :D
