Taco Bell, Gizmoz team for MTV commercial

Don Day July 8th, 2007

I’m declaring this avatar weekend at Lost Remote. Following up on the cool Simpsons Character Generator is news that Taco Bell is teaming up with Gizmoz - a firm that allows you to upload a photo of yourself and make a virtual avatar. The avatar can move its head, talk and even dance a bit. Users will be able to create their virtual character, then put together a 15-second audition. The highest-ranked auditions will appear in a commercial during the MTV Movie Awards, plus they’ll get a year’s worth of Taco Bell.

    Don —
Do you recall Office Max’s fabulous “Elf Yourself” dancing self-avatar creator that Toy New York did for them last Christmas? This effort also follows the the American Express/Ellen DeGeneres avatar and audio-creating widget that was also hilarious and funny.
