Newspapers losing the most ad bucks to the web

As industries evaluate where to put their advertising money, they’re shifting it out of the newspapers most. Wachovia Equity Research studied 55 advertisers and where they spent their money in 2006. Newspapers took the biggest hit, losing 14.3% of ad dollars in ‘06. TV actually gained, picking up about 4.4%. The web itself saw the biggest gain - a rise of almost 18%.
