Jupitermedia buys mediabistro.com for $23 million
David Johnson July 18th, 2007
If you ask mediabistro’s founder and cyberhostess Laurel Touby how she’s sleeping at night, her answer today may be “On a large pile of money.” Jupitermedia just laid down $20 million in cash and some change over the next couple of years to buy her out (NYT). The fabulous Ms. Touby will stay on board as Senior VP. Congratulations to a true Internet success story with a very happy ending and a promising new beginning.

as well it should.
i’ve read comments here before that stories that appear on Lost Remote are also published on (insert your choice of many tv sites here).
so what?
you guys cover the industry… and do a damn decent job of it.
the one thing that jumps out at me is that NONE of those sites get the audience involved like this site does… just read the number of comments here as compared to sites much larger (and funded). no comparison.
good luck.
