GET LOST Ep. 7: Hyperlocals and hyperactive buyouts
Steve Safran July 20th, 2007
There’s a lot of acquisition money floating out there, and in this podcast, Cory and Steve mull over what Lost Remote would get on the open market in a buyout. (Consensus: Beer.) Also, we discuss the strange things readers obsess over at LR, the new hyperlocal sites popping up from traditional media companies, Steve’s recent “work” in Spain, and what he hopes to find in Aruba next week (more beer.)

Excellent podcast, y’all! Perfect lunchtime programming. Regarding my comment yesterday about “y’all”: 1) It goes without saying that the piece itself was funny, timely, and comfortably bizarre. 2) I didn’t mean to start a discussion about my comment, and I apologize if it distracted from the more pertinent subject at hand. 3) The fact that I was the first to comment on the piece just goes to show how much I look forward to reading LR every day. In truth, I didn’t read anything before posting my comment, because my eye went straight to the offending contraction. Keep up the good work - more podcasting, please.

No worries David, you gave us great fodder to kick off the podcast.
As for me, I have to drink less during our podcast tapings, because I was all giggly on this one.

Cory: With the hugh sum floating around, do you know what www.mediarati.com would cost?
