  If TV news people were more journalists who reported the news and less actors who feel they must “ride the elephant” at every opportunity, a lot of these bloopers wouldn’t exist.

  We’ve written here before that TV stations should put up their own blooper reels frequently. The videos are guaranteed to get high traffic, and they show your human side. Also, make ‘em embeddable and LR will absolutely show them. Put them on YouTube before the YouTubers do and show the world you have a sense of humor, too.

  My all time favorite Detroit news anchor will always be Bill Bonds.

  “Troubled in his personal life” is all anyone can say about him even to this day. If that was so wrong then most of us are doomed.

  Just showed he was human.

  He once challenged the legendary Mayor Coleman Young to a boxing match.

  tdc - Funny clip! While I was there, I clicked through the sidebar and watched some of the guy’s other stuff. Originally, I had intended to come back here and tell you that we’ve got a guy in Abq, who I’ve often said “editorializes” with his delivery and tone, but then I saw Bill Bonds’ “interview” with Orrin Hatch and decided to link it via my name.

  Sure, we’ve got an old guy down here, but I’ve never seen him do anything like that.

  PS) Safran - I haven’t clicked through to the Yahoo! article since morning, but to your point: I found it interesting that one of the clips cited had been removed for a copyright violation.
