The 99 Cent Only Stores of California are putting on a promotion that will certainly draw attention - if not a possible riot. The company has issued a press release that says it will celebrate its 25th anniversary on August 9th by giving the first nine people in line outside its Westchester, CA store a 4GB iPhone for 99 cents. What could go wrong?

Sooooo… basically the nine people who can afford to start camping out today for the next six days get an iPhone for a buck. Whoppeeeee.

haha, if its was the first 99 people, the 99 cent only stores would be worth 99 cents…

it is the first 9 people because the store has to buy all of the phones. the first 99 people however get a scooter for 99 cents.

Yeah, if you’ve ever BEEN to the store– you’re know you’re taking a HUGE risk camping out in that neighborhood.
