MSNBC.com had huge numbers covering bridge collapse
Michael Gay August 6th, 2007
We covered the bridge collapse quite a bit last week, and Broadcasting & Cable reports the coverage on MSNBC.com had pretty impressive results.
The news network got more than 82 million page views for its coverage, which included a slide show (26 million views alone), and more than 11 million accesses of video streams.
I should also note that the NYTimes’ Brian Stetler wrote up a nice brief about the Channel4000.com site I blogged about last week.

I’m usually pretty vocal about revealing scoop sources, but in this case it doesn’t really feel like it was “scooped” information.
Anyway, love that quote in there from Nancy about my old colleagues: “[they] usually don’t go out of the doors.”

why wouldn’t ib comment on traffic?
anything would be considered a success far as i’m concerned as the site prior was nothing but a placeholder. but something tells me the numbers were far more impressive.
kinda scary for ib’s tv partners as it’s a sign you don’t really need a station on the ground to have a destination packed with relevant content.
please grace us with some numbers!!!
