I'll also add my whatever and say that I like this new feature. Over the past two days, I've clicked on it two or three times and only once was I disappointed at the the result.

It is definitely along the lines of that aggregate/distribute model that Jarvis recently wrote about and which prompted a few comments from me, so I thought that I'd say: Obviously, aggregate/distribute works with sectors, such as tech, politics, etc, but the difference is that outside of the larger cities, "local" is a considerably smaller segment.

And, though "The Wire" may be successful as a company, they are in the business of aggregate/distribute, so it's their only focus and they can adjust their expectations to reflect its reality. After all, I've clicked the thing a couple of times and that will probably be a daily occurance, but I'm sure the traffic generated for the websites are proportionately small, so the widget itself is probably doing nothing for their bottom lines.

Still Cory - I like the widget and good job.

(Also, I agree with tdc and it looks like there's still room for the blogroll, down below. If nothing else, the widget has to give Rex's site short shrift)

why can't you have both? there's plenty of space down your sidebar.

evidently media post has figured out the weighting of this system... they have 4 spots out of what, 10?

none from THE BEST either, paidcontent and terry's handywork.

Well done - didn't know this was coming, and it's a big improvement. Blogrolls are old - this is more of the Live Web.
