		<description>I have many friends WAY smarter than me, and they all seem to concur: local media is well positioned to carve out much greater shares of local internet revenue.

Google, Yahoo and other pure-plays have been quite happy with the way local media operators have been slow to move.

I think we are at a tipping point tho. 2008 should be interesting.</description>

actually, you gotta give credit where it's deserved, i'm beginning to see efforts by a few that look like the real thing.

the majority however still seem content (or intent) to watch and wait for others to make something work and then attempt to copy it.

that's not going to work though. and those that are out in front deserve some recognition.
