If I'm watching it on demand, it's because I missed the episode for some reason, and it's not a bad tradeoff. It's still less annoying than finding the torrent and downloading it, or watching it online. BTW, I am an unfortunate hostage of Charter Communications here in Minneapolis, which might have the worst on demand lineup of any cable system in the country. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me to watch the ads. If I’m watching it on demand, it’s because I missed the episode for some reason, and it’s not a bad tradeoff. It’s still less annoying than finding the torrent and downloading it, or watching it online.

NBC had pilots of some of their new fall line-up - Journeyman, Life, Chuck, Bionic Woman - available on Comcast On Demand up through Monday night. The other nets, however, posted short little 3-minute mix tapes of their new fall line-ups and called it a day which was strange because through the last season CBS has been the only net that streams their shows On Demand via Comcast.
