Really? I know all the sites went back to local control in early '05, and I'd heard from a former BI staffer the BI Content Staff in Dallas was all laid off this last February but I didn't know that the Sales and Support divisions also ceased to exist as well.

I think I'm springboarding off Joe's comment here when I ask that if newspapers get their websites and TV stations get their websites what does that mean for Belo Interactive?

Does that split down the middle as well or does it partner with one company or the other and then support both TV and newspaper properties?

Whoa. This sounds like another Viacom-CBS split that really isn't a split. And much like that split, where people predicted that CBS would crash and fail post-split, I wouldn't be surprised if newspaper Belo does better than expected.

Also interesting, there's no Interactive split, showing how traditional media is unable to think outside the box.
