All of those affiliates that rushed to join MNTV must feel like idiots by now. Did they all forget how to be independent stations or something? As for the CW, the promos and branding almost hurt my eyes and do nothing to attract me to any of the shows. The WB had a classier look to it, not to mention the Warner Brothers name! Professional sports, like the media industry, is based on competition and ultimately victory, but I'm torn by this philosophy. On one hand you need to have stability in leadership in order to appease shareholders and to develop a 'winning team' and that may take several seasons to put the right combination together. On the other hand if you put into place benchmarks for performance that may or may not be attained in the time given, then there's going to be upheaval and you're going to have the opposite effect of what you want to have happen ... instead of increasing performance you increase the anxiety levels among the team leading more people to not necessarily do the right thing for the team as much as they do the right thing to save themselves. CW always seems to find a niche show or two to keep them around, and that went back to the days of the WB, I guess. But then again, the three I watch are always through the DVR, never live.
