Some of these female news readers are downright embarrassing, they have zero credentials to be presenting business news. It’s painful to watch. The folks the WSJ should be afraid that if/when Murdock figures out a way to merge these two opperations, the tawdry tactics will rub off.

I’m with Mike, the only reason I did as well as I did was because TVNewser had sent me to FBN’s site already. Also, you could largely tell from facial expressions whether this was someone presenting something of a teleprompter or just being, um, porny. Dagen McDowell was tough, but I figured it was more likely an unflattering screen grab than what it actually looked like. And the background of Rebecca Gomez’s pic was rather deceptive. In fact, Radar switched around the backgrounds of several of these photos.

I got 9 out of 10 right, but then, I’d perused FBN’s pre-launch site a few weeks ago, so it was a matter of which faces I recognized. “Nope, don’t recognize that one. Must be a porn star.”

It’s kind of obvious after you run through this quiz that the whole “beauty queen” thing is just a marketing tool. When they’re side by side, there’s really no question about which ones are the journalists and who makes money from their looks.
