Not to be too snarky, but am I correct in my recollection that HuffPo doesn't pay most of their contributors?

Which would make the strike coverage page a pretty funny development.

As a television consumer, I have to say that the unnamed studio execs who are quoted in some of these linked blogs, those who are saying that a strike which extends into February and could "blow-up" pilot season and be good for the industry are showing that they really don't have a clue.

I just don't see how with the current state of television, how anyone would think that the audience won't get further eroded after getting further out of the habit of network fare. Unless of course, they're just blowing smoke and they aren't as deluded as they are coming across in print.

Plenty of writers blogging, but I don't think I can put the full blog URLs here or your spam filter will block me. Anyway, here are some of the resources I'm depending on:

Mark Evanier's weblog: www dot newsfromme dot com. Mark is one of the most eloquent writer voices blogging on the subject right now.

Craig Mazin's and Ted Elliott's website / blog: www dot artfulwriter dot com. More eloquence and much passion: the comments on individual entries are piling up fast and (sometimes) furious, a mix of writers and non-writers contributing

A blog for and by writers on strike:www dot unitedhollywood dot com

Also very useful as a source: Nikki Finke's weblog at LA Weekly: www dot deadlinehollywooddaliy dot com

I'd like to give a shoutout to our modest blog (which you can find by clicking my name).

We're also compiling a running list of shows, and how they're being impacted.
