Well, thank you everyone. I’ll write a suitably long farewell full of false modesty and self-aggrandizement shortly.

For now, I want to thank you - the commentors - who truly make LR what it is. A great place to share great ideas. No, we don’t always agree. That’s the point. It would be frightening if we always agreed. That would mean we weren’t putting out any risky ideas.

When Bill Berry left R.E.M., he said that he now got to be “the world’s biggest R.E.M. fan.” I feel the same way about LR. So I’ll be haunting these pages, possibly posting under some obnoxious pseudonym. Suggestions?

Just checked my calendar…nope, it’s not April 1. Is this for real? Really having a hard time imagining LR without you Steve. You’re part of the DNA….even if I don’t always agree with you, you never fail to be thought-provoking. And that’s the whole point.

Even though we didn’t always agree (both when I was an LR blogger and afterwards when I snarked from the comments section after I left broadcasting), Safran’s observations were always lively and interesting. His POV will be missed on LR.

(And Cory’s gonna be really busy populating those pixels.)
