With 8 million members across 26 countries and 9 languages, it’s… Xbox LIVE, which is celebrating its fifth birthday. Like I’ve mentioned before, wouldn’t it be cool if Xbox LIVE and Facebook converged somehow? (My wife, however, would think that’s a horrible idea. I thought she’d find this video funny, but I guess it struck a little too close to home.)

    That would be probably the worst thing ever! Merging two completely moronic groups together to create one giant dumbfest, you’re crazy.

    We’ve discussed this before, but Microsoft’s numbers do not differentiate between one person holding multiple accounts, nor do they reveal how many accounts are long inactive, nor how many are actually paying customers.

    This number is akin to counting every single person who walks into your brick-and-mortar store every day for 20 years - including the same person walking in ten times and people who have since died - and then claiming you have 50 billion customers.
