Thoroughly embarrassing and a real credibility-killer.

If you don’t know the difference between Apple and Abu Dubai, you really shouldn’t be working for a business news channel.

Or any other news operation, either.

  • 3. Brink  |  November 17th, 2007 at 2:01 pm

Good point. Just listening to them try to reason out what they were saying got me confused, too!

  • 4. Brink  |  November 17th, 2007 at 2:21 pm

    “The Arabs.”

This and the previous comment are not by Brink. I assume the comment two up is by Brink.

I am using a different computer right now than I normally use, but did LostRemote go to three columns?

Not unexpected. That Maria Bartiromo has absolutely no business doing business reporting. Maria was asked a very good question about the economy on Bill Maher’s “Real Time” and she couldn’t answer it. She dodged it. One would think that if you report business and the economy, you might actually understand it. Or at least be able to remember what someone else wrote your you.

But hey, she doesn’t have to be clear, she just has to look good and she just has to appear.

Yep, Charles, 3 columns and wider.

  • 9. Don Day  |  November 18th, 2007 at 10:00 am

…that’s not Maria Bartiromo there Tonto. She’s on CNBC.

That was Alexis Glick… on Fox Business.

actually, abu dhabi is not in dubai.

there is no such place as abu dubai and it goes to show the entire newsroom over there had no idea as they all were near breathless in breaking the news.

maybe the entire fox news business channel crew was smoking a big fat dubai?

ps- can those skirts get any shorter?

In other news, Microsoft is buying a stake in Google.

Oh, my bad, I meant Micronesia.

Wait, what was the story about? I just saw pretty girls talking and lots of charts. Could have used more explosions. Ooooooo, shiny.

And I’m not overly PC, but “The Arabs?” Eesh.

  • 14. Don Day  |  November 19th, 2007 at 12:58 pm

    Oh. The Micronesians.

  • 15. Rico Suave  |  November 19th, 2007 at 4:39 pm

All I saw was go-go boots, and all I heard was “petrodollars.” Because, you know, those spend differently than “agrodollars” or “edudollars.”

  • 16. kitap özetleri  |  November 29th, 2007 at 2:31 am

oh oh oh it is only Micronesians :D
